I am quite new at blogging. It is something that I made fun of other people for doing. There are so many blogs that have such little relevance to anyone aside from the author. This blog, in fact, may very well be one of those blogs. However, I am going to maintain and contribute to this pet project due to my utter passion for the subject matter, horror. I write this blog with the hopes that there are other people out there that find the subject as fascinating as I do, whether it is someone like me who looks for and finds important, meaningful subtexts in the genres greats or just someone who likes gore or to get the crap scared out of them. I want to engage with like-minded people and possibly add some new rhetoric or dialogue to the genre conversation.

I have a Masters in Literature degree and have co-taught film classes at Western Michigan University, using horror films to teach about the history of feminism, Marxism, and psychoanalysis criticism.
